Room2Move has been set up to help tenants downsize within the social housing sector.

The aim is to try and find a solution in the most time efficient and cost effective manner. The room2move team comprises of one caseworker Michael Greenwald who is dedicated to assisting under occupiers.

Michael ensures each tenant has the correct information relating to the variety of housing options available to them - from Locata, Seaside and Country Homes, Homeswapper, mutual exchanges and private renting.

Michael can help in the following ways:

• assistance in completing a Locata application form
• help with understanding and bidding on Locata
• accompanied sign up of new tenancy
• arranging removals
• contacting service providers of new address details - including housing benefit and council tax

Seaside & country

Seaside & Country Homes is a housing mobility scheme that offers households living in council or housing association housing in Greater London the opportunity to move home.

The scheme’s landlords manage approximately 3,200 bungalows and flats: along the southwest coast from Cornwall, through the countryside from Shropshire to Cambridgeshire, over to Norfolk and Lincolnshire in the east.
